TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint. It's the joint that connects your jaw to your skull and allows you to move your jaw for activities like talking, chewing, and yawning. TMJ disorders can cause discomfort or pain in the jaw joint and surrounding muscles. TMJ disorders can sometimes be associated with headaches. Jaw pain or tension due to issues with the temporomandibular joint may contribute to headaches since the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and the neck are interconnected through various muscles and nerves. Dysfunction in the TMJ can sometimes lead to tension or pain in the surrounding muscles, including those in the neck. Additionally, poor posture or habits related to jaw movements can contribute to both TMJ and neck discomfort. We dive deeper into patients health history and past injuries as well as postural problems and other facts that may be affecting or making the TMJ worse and to understand the root of the problem and do a personalized evaluation to assist your process of getting better results. We use various techniques like Deep tissue, RAPID , neuromuscular therapy , cupping and stretching in order to get the best results and improvement with only the first visit . After treatment recommendations are also a priority in order to get better long lasting results.
